I am a certified diesel mechanic. Does stepping all over your toes, qualify me as a danger on the dance floor?

Re: Cruising on $500 per Month . . .

I actually know a diesel mechanic (runs the business, too)...who's a trained ballroom dancer and regularly floats his way around the shop like Fred Astaire

He's married though, tough luck

Yeah, that's always my luck

I've got to get up in six hours so I can put 50 miles under the keel tomorrow. Been fun playing here. Night all.

Careful what you wish for, I am a definite danger on the dance floor.

Heads up Christine, it seems my Kapersky may have stopped some sort of malware while attempting to visit your website...

You know there are some sailing women around here who choose to sail solo because exactly because men think like that.

The likelihood that you are going to find a gorgeous younger woman from any country who will think you are always right and will be willing to live on $500/month -

is about as likely as it is that I am going to find a man who loves to sail as much as I do, has an income of $500/month to add to the cruising kitty, can fit all his gear into a duffle bag, and is willing to let me be the captain. :-)
I would say that finding any woman who will think a fella is always right would be the hard part - not the $500 a month bit. Probably need to look in another dimension .

I dunno first hand about the DR or Brazil, but certainly on the Thai side of things easy for folk to assume that the women are different to there western "sisters" - they ain't! Thai women subservient? ROTFLMAO .......and that can be expensive lesson for some to learn . My guess is that DR and Brazil much the same. and Germany. and France and...........

But IMO / IME, East (and South) same as in the West, find a good one and you have a keeper - for life . Find a wrong un (for you and / or for her) then you likely have a nightmare ............and that $500 budget would look even thinner .

Someone else mentioned this yesterday. It's a Wordpress site and I deleted the theme and reloaded it as per the designer's instructions, but it still is getting tagged by anti-virus software. I've got a support ticket in with the Wordpress theme designer to see if he can figure it out how to clean up whatever it is.

Thanks for the heads up, though.

The comment was written to a guy who had the signature line "Life is far too important a thing ever to talk seriously about...."

so I assumed he would get that it was said in jest.

So true DOJ. Most Thai women are looking for an ATM machine not a $500/mo cruiser. But on the plus side, quite a few are part Chinese which can really stretch that $500. Our neighbor is Thai-Chinese and always get the best price on things.

We're all going to be in trouble when the professor gets back and see all the thread drift.
