Cruising from Beaufort South Carolina to Saint Augustine

Just curious if anyone has been out in the Atlantic today from Charleston to Savannah. I ducked into the ICW around Georgetown because of the marine forecast but was hoping to go back out tomorrow since the seas seem to be calming down a bit. If anyone has any info I would appreciate it.

We are in Titusville, FL tonight. Forecast is for a small break on Saturday before strong northerlies come through again l (via Georgia).

These cold fronts are coming hard on the heels of each other. There is not enough time for the seas to settle down between them. Makes it harder to get out

We did Charleston to Brunswick a few weeks ago and although winds were light, the sea state was still uncomfortable. Another cold front came roaring through soon after we hit Brunswick.

Yes these cold fronts have been brutal. I'm sitting at anchor off Capers Island just south of Beaufort waiting to get out but the wind is howling. I'll decide what to do in the morning I guess. I could continue down the ICW but its driving me crazy making 40 miles a day. Thanks for the info. Safe travels to you.

we are anchored at s. santee river tonight. winds to 20 kts tonight
our weather models show strong n winds against the stream offshore, it won't be pretty out there, even inshore.
rather be offshore but happy to be making 60+ miles a day without getting beat up
best of luck to you

Thanks. Yes the wind is howling outside here too. Don't have a wind gauge but probably 25 knots. Predicted to subside a little after midnight or so I heard.
