Hello all!
Perhaps someone out there can help me. Some day (finances permitting) I hope to try my hand at sailing but for now I'm a touring cyclist. I'm currently 6003km into a tour across
Canada starting at the
Alaska Border (W141 degrees) bound for Cape Spear. By early/mid July I'll be in
Nova Scotia, staring at the Laurentian Channel and here is where I hope a kind soul with a sailboat might help me out. It would feel wrong after almost 8000km spent traveling slowly, quietly and without fossil fuels to hop on a massive
ferry, burn through all that gas and ruin the experience of being out on the
water. If anybody (or anyone you know) is sailing from the maritimes to
Newfoundland in July and has room for one guy and his bicycle I'd be extremely grateful! I'm sure I could make myself useful and would gladly pay for the ride if need be.
Also, I realize this is not a forum for cyclists. I sincerely hope it's not a problem that I'm
posting here but if it is, please let me know.
Cheers,
~D
