Considering putting boat in charter

We are considering purchasing a 2007 lagoon owners version that fits all our sailing needs, however we could not use the vessel full time for about 2-3 years. To offset our financial costs we are considering putting the boat in a charter system. Does anyone have any advice that had or has a boat in charter and does anyone know of a group that allows you to put a boat in their charter fleet that was not purchased from them? I spoke with sunsail and they do not offer an out of network boat to be considered.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You'll have to go to a secondary fleet such as Conch Charters. The boat is too old and as you stated the big outfits want you to buy the boat from them. I've heard that Moorings/Sunsail is not really in the charter business but in the boat sales business.
