They're only part time CG announcers.. their main job is reading radio and TV ads for Big Pharma..
After the first three side effects your lost..

They'll do themselves out of a job.

Shove the notice in a scanner to be read by robotic readers.

Part of what makes these announcements hard to understand is the frequent surprisingly poor quality of my reception of CG radio, in places where I would think it would be fine. Most others come in well (my radio and anntenna are quite good, thanks), but very often the CG broadcasts sound weak and scratchy.

I could understand that if they were broadcasting from some very distant antenna, but the transmissions I'm talking about are for general consumption, and I would suppose they are sent out from all their antennae. Anyone know what's going on there?
It seems to me that the CG could use some new radio equipment. I often find that the announcements are unreadable due to poor equipment or poor coverage. Sector Miami appears to be the worst on the east coast with Sector NC not far behind. Many of their announcements seem to be recorded as they are exactly the same, including noise, every time they're played. The recording device seems to be the culprit as the obviously live communications are loud and clear. I suspect that no one at the sector actually listens to the recordings to see if they are readable before sending them out.
