Clearing in at Frazers Hog cay

Does anyone have info about clearing in at frazers hog. I have cleared at Bimini then crossed the banks to there. I have heard you can go to the airport to clear and not have to pay chub cay there cut. Plus that would mean skipping a stop at bimini to save time. It looks like it's a few miles to the airport from the anchorage.
Thanks

You need to walk to the airport to clear in. Otherwise no issues. With luck you might get a ride. The marina at Chub provides transportation if you stay there.

Last April the dock master was still charging $100 to come in tie up and get a ride to the airport. This was in addition to the customs charges.

Definitely not a good spot to clear in. I have heard that they sometimes charge a fee in addition to the $300 there. Go on to Nassau or Morgans Bluff. Or if you have yet to cross the Bank, Bullock Harbour. Where are you headed?

If you are really set on it you can easily run a dinghy to the airport via the creek between Crab Cay and chub.

I bought fuel at Chub, in excess of $100, and they waived the tie up charge, and still provided transportation to the airport. Never had to pay in excess in excess of $300. Your experience maybe different.

We checked in at Chub Cay the second week of December and had absolutely no issue with additional fees. Checking in at Chub was really easy, and I would highly recommend it.

We checked in at Chub in April when they were sort of open after Mathew. We bought fuel and still had to pay $100 US. They arranged transportation. We paid customs $300. It sure looks like you can dinghy around to the side of the airport where customs is located. I would be game to try it next time. It is not a short walk.
