Circumnavigation Question

Maybe one of you old salts can help me with this question. I sailed from Florida west to Brisbane, Australia on my old boat, "Rover," and sold her there. I've since bought another boat. If I sail east from Florida to Brisbane, will I have "tied the knot" and completed a circumnavigation when I again reach Brisbane?

Please weigh in, as am curious as to opinions on this and would love to have an excuse to throw a big bash with friends in Brisbane.

Robin Graham's circumnavigation took more than one boat, don't think anyone questioned it -- can't recall if it was some official record, but clearly seemed to satisfy most of the requirements for a personal one...

but have no idea the way you describe... if tieing the knot is important, may as well go all the way around...

BTW -- am old, but not a salt... doc said I had to give it up...

Well, seeing as you're doing the second leg "wrong way 'round", you deserve to call it a Circumnavigation, no matter what anyone says. More power to ya!
