Chinks in the (alleged) BVI Broker Cartel?

It was quite heartening to hear from a very good friend that yesterday, when dealing with a BVI based yacht broker, he secured an undertaking to sell his boat for a commission considerably below the normally quoted 10%. At last there appears to be a crack appearing in this iniquitous (alleged) cartel all coincidentally charging the same rate!

A long overdue outbreak of the free market? Is this a refreshing new beginning or just an isolated moment of weakness? Will it happen elsewhere? Or, perhaps, it is desperation spawned by the depressed market?
