Nice Catalina 250 for less than 10k. For a 15 yr old boat that looks this good, it could be a good deal for a weekender.

Monitor Windvane
Solar panels
Hard dinghy
Roller furling
Sails in excellent shape
Washer dryer
All new through hulls
Boat is in seabrook Texas.

Re: Cheap Sailboat Sightings

I found a few sail boats that are for FREE.....

In all seriousness though. Many of your local marinas have boats in there yard that they have had to take ownership of for unpaid slip fees or unpaid yard work. Those repossessed boats can be had for a very low price as the marina just wants to unload them.

The first two look like they might be a little bit of a fixer-upper but the third one is almost cruise ready.

The great thing about the third one is , you can see that the sails are there and intact. Why, that's almost a home run in used boats.

Sure, it's got a little water problem in the bilge but you'd be surprised how common that is.

Re: Cheap Sailboat Sightings

It's with a heavy heart that I help list this boat because I have spent many great times aboard her. My close friends are the owners. Hate to let herslip through my fingers but I have my heart set on something a tad larger. I have first dibs on her but I regret to offer it to you That being said I hope she end up in a happy caring home so I will list her here first.

Beautiful 1987 Pearson 28-2 sailboat – OUTSTANDING CONDITION with lot of EXTRAS -- $18,500
This 1987 Pearson 28-2, Paradiso, is truly paradise found. This USCG documented vessel has been upgraded extensively and is tricked out and ready for cruising. Large comfortable interior with lots of space. Kept in great shape, inside and out. Meticulously cared for and is in sail away condition. A terrific cruiser, a fast racer, and is rigged for single-handing. With a draft of only 4’10” she can get into the gunkholes for nights at anchor, and her fin keel makes her speed fast and her course true. Currently slipped at the Washington Sailing Marina. Will help deliver to new home if needed or desired.

Link to my Shutterfly website with 68 pictures of Paradiso:
