as was the OP, St. John just cant be beat. Much more to do and is available from St. John than in the BVI. More restaurants, shops, tours and excursions both on and off of the water
I agree there is nothing to do on the island other than the resort, but it is a very nice resort with pools, hot tub, store, scuba
, etc. St. John is very nice as well, but it is on the US side making trips to virtually any other island more complex as you will need to clear US customs
, clear into BVI, and then clear back in to the US.
