sloop towed by a 86' crabber. It was in very heavy sea with 20-30 foot seas and 60 knots of
wind. My sailboat was towed through the waves and not usually over them. When we did go over the waves we would have surfed down the other side if we were not towing 5 lines tied to aft chocks on each side to act as a
sea anchor of sorts. They were each 35' long so pretty close to the stern. That kept the
boat going straight ahead while going down waves. Make sure the
helm is secure and straight ahead.
