Why do you guys build golf courses in swamps full of crocodiles? Your next President has the right idea, we have miles of empty beaches we don't know what to do with but would make excellent golf courses.

Re: Bungee jump it spend the night in the ocean

I don't know! Depends on many things'!
Even with an ebirb ,I wouldn't want to be holding onto a boat fender , at night especially , in Florida Bay! Bull sharks , hammerheads and hungry lemons by the thousands! They will find you!
And if your stuck in the glades( w/ebirb) gators are the least of your worried! Big black bear, cougars and displaced Anacondas ! Also nasty holes and deep canals that are hard to climb out of!
30 miles off shore somewhere (with ebirb)
Just fine with me!
I'd watch the sky for for signs of rescue team!
I must say, the responses have me smiling pretty big! You guys are so funny!
Joe

odds of dying from bungee jumping are pretty low unless you're doing it in someone's backyard in nicaragua...

Hanging on a fender in the ocean at night is my worse nightmare. Worse yet on Okechoobee.

Re: Bungee jump it spend the night in the ocean

Once went for a swim in the deep blue. The weirdest feeling. Almost vertigo. I'm not a great swimmer and very quickly the boat started looking much smaller than it should. I probably won't do it again if I can help it.

Refocus that energy into actions of useful preparedness. Always err on the side of caution.

Visual what it would look like to see your boat sailing away without you as you resuface through the bubbles.

Ultimately you need to enjoy the experience on the water enough to prepare and manage the risk. Do you?

All really bad ways to scare yourself but I think that picking huckleberries with a sasquatch on a northern island is right up there. Buy the beer and I'll tell you a tale.

Re: Bungee jump it spend the night in the ocean

Just read that most sharks hunt at night. Was just at beach at night...no one was in the water. This is over the 4th of July holiday. Lots of people on the beach but again zero people in the water.

Now I feel better about being in the water at night.

Remember the night scene from Jaws...

Re: Bungee jump it spend the night in the ocean

Jaws really scared the poop out of me. The music alone was bad enough as the shark would get closer. I did not watch any of Shark Week. I think bogus baiting of sharks is unrealistic and changes the sharks behavior for TV ratings.

A gator in the death spin or a frenzied feeding shark. Neither are good.
