Budget Marine

Just went to the Budget Marine in St Thomas. Man said prices were 15% over St Martin plus local tax etc. at all the Budget Marine stores except St Martin. This did not seem right to me. Anyone can tell me if it is true?

Re: Budget Marine

Each Budget store in the Caribbean must set its own prices because each island is a different country with different import duties, tax and fixed costs.

In St Martin prices charged are 10% below the catalogue price if you register an account or pay cash.

The only other one I have shopped in enough to get a good indication is Grenada and there the prices are similar to the catalogue prices as long as you have an account and registered with your customs clearence papers for duty free.

So get the catalogue from the store or off the internet and check.
