buddy boat from Washington to SF bay, any takers?

Mods move this to the correct forum if I'm in the wrong one. Just giving a shout out to other boaters that are planning to go down to Cali soon. We are currently cruising the San Juan's right now but will be in neah bay come the 29th and plan leaving September 1st weather permitting. We will be taking the offshore route (60-100 mi offshore) non stop to the SF bay. Looks like we will be seeing 10-15knts NNW with seas coming from the north to northwest 6-10ft. Pretty favorable, but still too far out to be crazy accurate. We cruise down wind at about 6-7knts and plan to do the trip in no more than 6 days.

Cheers,

Jon

Just did a similar trip, 6-16 August. Seattle to Monterey California, then to Catalina Island. Winds and seas were about as you describe them, the real issue was fog. Never saw the sun once the entire trip, often not even the bowsprit. Be prepared for cold and wet, we wore winter gear all he way to Los Angeles. A fairly easy trip, very little traffic out beyond 30 nm, except as you near San Francisco. Have fun !!
