Brass Lanterns

Looking at adding some brass lanterns around the salon and galley, has anyone any experience regarding the ones made in "India" that seem to be much cheaper than say "Vermont Castings" and are all over E-bay. Hate to install and have them leak oil or worse, cause a fire!! Yes I'm well aware of the saying, "get what you pay for".
