If I am correct, it is the former Americas Cup Italian boat (Azzurra) and was converted for cruising (with cruising interior) and cruised in Mediterranean for a bit, owned by a Scandinavian owner. Of course I am getting older and may be mistaken.

It would be a memorable boat to cruise on for any distance as I always admired the lines on those 12 meter yachts of that era.

Bon Voyage Boatie!
I did too.... They had a whole slew of them...

If this would fit on the stern... I would put up with the hailing obstacles!

And he's off!

.... toward a canal...

Patience...

Re: Boatman's Latest Adventure

We will be keeping an eye on phils progress as well as we are planning to depart lanzarote for Martinique November 16th with the Atlantic odyssey. Of course if the weathers suss we will delay departure but heading south till close to Cape Verde seems like the more cautious option we will be taking rather than the rhumb line. Hopefully sight phil along the way

Re: Boatman's Latest Adventure

This thread and the Spot page is like the worst semi-interactive video game ever. But yet I can't look away and can't stop continually checking the spot page.

@ ontherocks83

What you're supposed to do is look at the spot page and then come back here and speculate exactly what Boaty is doin' and thinkin' and what he will do next. Extra credit for creativity.

Re: Boatman's Latest Adventure

If anyone here is near his anticipated route you should intercept him and tell him you heard from a forum he was in trouble and needed a tow. It'll be grand to see how he responds
