If he sits it out where he is, usually weather is calm after a storm for quite awhile, maybe even too calm?

Boatman's Latest Adventure

I reckon, he is already 1/3 of the way to Harwich, my bet is that the ruminants of Gonzalo will go north and he will be better getting down to some deeper ports
As Alex says, it's a bit shallow for that 450 miles but 350nm to Harwich could be done in that speed machine before Gaz threatens

But saying that .... I am sat in a chair, not at the chart table scratching my head over tidal gates

If he is on his way he is bashing into 18 - 20 knot winds on the nose. Be quite wet in that boat I would think.

Gotta watch out for them cyclonic sheep and cattle. They don't show up too well on radar.

At this point I would like to point out that I am Cornish and not Welsh.

Cornish national animal is The chough (in Cornish = palores) is also used as a symbol of Cornwall. In Cornish poetry the chough is used to symbolise the spirit of Cornwall. Also there is a Cornish belief that King Arthur lives in the form of a chough. "Chough" was also used as a nickname for Cornish people.

not a Cornish hen as you might think

Re: Boatman's Latest Adventure

How can anyone just sit there endlessly without a good pie or something, waiting for "whatever" and not having wifi, or at least a piano? This boaty seems to be a bit...non-cornish IMHO
