I resent being referred to as an "exotic plant" !!!

Your quite right Phil, Tresco ( on the isles of Silly...... Don't call them the Silly isles or the wrecking will rally the cornish into action) has a lot of exotic fauna and worth a visit for those that get to that rocky cruising ground

Sent from my iPad.......i apologise for the auto corrects !!!

Currently sitting at the commercial docks in Kiel where the Dutch schooners berth.. bouncy as hell but the better more comfortable berths further down are in 2.6 metres..
and folk wonder why I'm a small boat lover... not only are they safer in a blow.. they get better berths...

Re: Boatman's Latest Adventure

Mother nature is truly amazing to have such an effect all the way from the Gulf of Mexico to the coast of Ireland.....then there's the Global Warming issues.......right now, those of us in Florida have appreciated the weather pattern changes. Hurricane Season has been good to us the last 2 years in particular. The Bahamas have not suffered near as bad and many continued to go late into the season.

Sorry for the drift.....

Life is good if you Keepa Smilin.........

...Palm trees in Ireland, they are at 54.816072N 8.470573W...

Scotland's got some too, the first time we got a photo of the boat at anchor with palm trees in the foreground was at Plockton - it's on the mainland's west coast, tucked in behind the Isle of Skye and at a guess must be at around 56 or maybe even 57-degrees north?

They're in a nice orderly line, so I suspect that they were planted rather than sprouting from some coconut drifting past, but once again the locals reckon it's the Gulf Stream effect that allows them to survive.

Re: Boatman's Latest Adventure

His spot is off the coast of Holland. Looks like he snuck away quietly whilst Atoll was distracting us with his Asian adventures

Re: Boatman's Latest Adventure

Not a good time to come down. Really bad weather will strike in two days.
Take care, that boat looks seaworthy but the looks don't correspond to reality. It was not designed to take bad offshore weather.

Just take care and don't take risks.

All the best for you

He's made it to Borkum in Holland SPOT Shared Page

I was wondering what you meant by "closed", but now I see the rail strike.
