boat transportation
Dear all,
I would like to ask to you if you have an idea what could be the price to transport a boat (around 30 feet) from USA east coast to Japan. I think that exist two possibilities: 1) to find a crew able to do that 2) to load the boat on ship Thanks, Remo |

Transport
You could try and find a truck that is taking boats from the West to the East and might normally be comming back empty. That would get the boat to the left coast, from there you could sail via Hawaii if the boat is up to it. I remember when trucking cost $1.15 per loaded mile in the US but I am dating myself, that was in the seventies. If you can find an East coast dealer selling West coast made boats that would be a start. Bayliner in WA probably ships boats a long way East. Can AM transport in Canada crosses the country a lot but they are usually laoded going West. You could buy an old one ton truck and trailer and haul it and sell when you got there. BC Mike C
