Thanks all, and wow! Who would have thought that Norway would have been cheaper on such matters... then again, we only get battered by 'technical' hurricanes (>33m/s) each January/Feb, and cross moorings and floating pontoons etc are standard stuff: nothing on the scale of Ike..
On the idea that Ike was an 100 year storm, does anybody know whether insurances minus hurricane coverage are available? as 2-6% of hull
value puts the insurance costs squarely in the realm of property taxes!
