Blue Sky Solar Regulator Issue - Others Too ?

Anybody heard of issue with BlueSky solar regulators? We had a new solar setup with two 135 watt panels fed thru a BlueSky MPPT 2000e regulator.
The unit worked well for a couple of weeks, then incorrectly started showing batteries fully charged, then soon after went blank. BlueSky claim it is not their unit, first suggested I deal with the vendor - vendor said deal with Blue Sky. Then after extensive testing on our wiring and panels, proving all is well there, they are still claiming a wiring problem. Frustrating. Proving to be no help we are flying in a new [definitely not BlueSky] regulator to get our charge happening again. Has anyone else had problems dealing with these guys?

I've heard good things about dealing with them from others. If you want to charge your batteries, bypass the regulator.

Re: Blue Sky Solar Regulator Issue - others too?

I have had a BlueSky 2000 for two years and it works perfectly. There are internal settings that need to be done for different types of batteries. Did you do that?
Why does BlueSky claim it isn't their product? Maybe it isn't. Does it have their name and logo on the front of the unit?

Doesn't bode well for BlueSky. Companies that don't provide service with their products will not do well in the long run.

My Blue Sky charge controller failed shortly after installation. I called them on the phone, and they shipped a new one the same day.

A pic of the unit would help.

my blue sky is awesome-- i have 3 of them in 2 boats.
my cruz pro is toast and those i have had to replace total of 4 used and failed over time-- 100 percent failure. i havent replaced my 4th failure--i plan on using a 20 amp blue sky with numerical display--is in my other boat as a backup unit..

Have nothing but good to say about Blue Sky. More here - http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...ote-34050.html

Who was the vendor? Was it sent in to Blue Sky for testing?
