9.5' blue shark in Santa Monica Bay that was boated - that was a lot of fun. 9-10' Mako in the same area that was released - way too nasty a fish to play games with.

The blue shark fed the block for several days. The fish tastes quite good provided you bleed it out immediately after boating.

I caught a sturgeon in the San Pablo Bay northeast of San Francisco. It was too large to keep since there is a Fish & Game requirement that sturgeon over a certain size must be released. This fish was massive. It must have been 6 feet idea what it weighed since I had to release it along side the boat.

I have caught a few 20 pound plus Salmon.

I am always trolling while sailing,it brings fresh food just about on the west coast of Florida you can catch Grouper of the bottom.Far enough in the gulf you can get Tunas,Dolphins,etc......
