Best "Weekend Getaway" for Sailing in the Keys

We are thinking of doing a weekend getaway on our Beneteau in the Keys. We draw 5'1" and need to be able to easily dinghy to a shore to let our dog do her business.
We stayed off Pumpkin Key before (see map) but this is a private island from what i understand so it's not really ideal for dinghying in to let our dog relieve herself.
Any suggestions for a northern Keys quick-trip type getaway with 5'1" draft and an accessible beach?

North side of Tavernier key has a trail in the middle, and the sandbar dries at low tide makes it ok for dogs. Close to some snorkel spots at Hens and chickens and Molasses reef.

Boca Chita has a nice little harbor bayside. About 6 foot depth all the way in from the featherbed bank. I dont think dogs are allowed on the island but Every time I'm there there seems to be boats with dogs so the rule isnt being enforced. Boca Chita doesnt have trash collection so keep that in mind if doggy bags are being used.

If you go a little further than Pumpkin Key you will go thru Jewfish Creek into Blackwater Sound. Not much for beaches but plenty of bar/restaurants that are dog friendly Also take the time to stop at Alabama Jacks, good food and a live band Sat. and Sun.
