I never wrote it was zero I just wanted to say without a lot of people. Considering what the demographics are greenland is pretty much not very populated.
But watchout for icebergs.

There are people on Antarctica too, but only at the several scientific research stations and they stay only a few months or a year at a time I think.

Having said all of this, I think we are straying off topic. This discussion ought to be in a seperate thread, although it is a broad subject and not directly related to the cruising lifestyle as such. But on second thought, maybe it is.
The responses go to where you live. In Greenland or the Arctic I think a boat with Insulation is without question.

Icebergs. Yeah we get those here of the coast of Newfoundland. In the spring we get the ice floes, which are enormous sheets of ice. Often they are quite thick and rafted up into huge ridges where they collide. Icebreakers have to make channels for fishing vessels and commercial vessels. Boats and even large ships quite often get stuck in it.
The bergs come later, usually in June. But this year they were very late, in August. We had one enormous berg this year that was the size of a fair size island. It broke off from Greenland about a year or so ago, drifted north for a bit in the current, then turned around and came our way. All the icebergs follow this same route.
