Best Chesapeake Bay charts for a newbie?
I'm new to sailing the upper bay. Could someone recommend a good and easy to read chart or chart book?

How about just doing a search online.

Sometimes I print out an updated chart to use. (for area in the low bay)

Upper Bay Example: Chart 12273

Here's one near Annapolis.

Recommend the Williams & Heintz cruising guide for the Maryland portion of the bay. Straightforward and easy to use.

ferrailleur, It sounds to me as though what you want is a cruising guide book not just a chart. One example is the Waterway Guide, Chesapeake Bay edition.
