Bermuda Triangle

Hello. Anyone sailing in Bermuda Triangle ? Did you see anything unusual there or documentary films and books about lost ships and planes is people's fantasy ?
Thanks
Victor.

Re: Bermuda Triangle

I don't remember ever sailing there . . . but it could have been a lost time episode.

We just got back from Bermuda a few weeks ago. Everything normal except one day of strange fog we ran into the USS Eldridge from the Philadelphia naval shipyard.

Total Rubbish.

Look at the dimensions of this fictional area ... it encompasses a huge area of the Atlantic...odd things happen at sea and some can be hard to explain, but they typically end up w a rather pedestrian explanation...not involving space aliens or space/time warps.

Many vessles cross this area every single day w out event.

And those events which have been researched by credible sources typically turn out to be bunk. For example, the group of military training aircraft lost in triangle decades ago...they found them...not in some alternate universe, but on the bottom of the Atlantic...turns out they just got lost and ran out of fuel.

The Bermuda Triangle belongs in the same category as Y2K and 2012.

Y2K was a real or it least would have been if billions had not been spent to correct the problems before nye 1999.

The technical issue was real (and helped enable me to go cruising at 40), the metaphysical doomsday rubbish was not.

Never followed the metaphysical doomsday rubbish and also benefited from the technical side... Based on some of the wackjob nutter preppers I see on Discovery/History channel, I'm guessing there were a few doomsday predictions based on the technical problems

I used to read all of the Bermuda Triangle/UFO books when I was young. I cant believe that some adults believe that crap still

Y2K -- without getting in to the nuts and bolts of this issue, every computer device which didn't have pre-allocated space for a two digit century every where a date was used, would have failed.
I worked for three years to prepare the Data Base I was responsible for, in anticipation of Y2K.

This was a known problem since the invention of comperes.

I'm with Hoppy. It's the 21st century and this mumbo-jumbo superstitious stuff is only amazing in sense that it still has such a hold on the imagination. It's fairy tales..

Predictably enough, the Bermuda Triangle doesn't even appear on the list of the top 10 geographic areas in terms of shipwrecks.

BBC News - Study finds shipwrecks threaten precious seas

Re: Bermuda Triangle

I'm here to tell you things do disappear in the Triangle. Just two years ago anchored off of Bimini I awoke to find my dingy and four diesel fuel jugs had just disappeared in the middle of the night. I'm a believer!

Tellie is telling like it is. Several years ago the IRS received a form from my broker who had just come back from Bermuda it showed that I had earned millions of dollars and not declared any of it. They seized my bank accounts and were near to taking my home when they realized the guy had been subject to sun poisoning in Bermuda and had made a mistake.
The IRS agents who were excellent but also had visited Bermuda while on a retreat were great. They just missed that I had a appeal filed that showed I was not as well stuffed as I wished and that some very basic accounting was screwed up.
Happy ending I think the broker went back to Bermuda and now sells underage conche to tourists that dream of eating the last of a species while looking at white sand beachs.the IRS guys are not allowed to travel. They are busy filling out applications for non profit political organizations that aren't making any money for anyone. They are just good people that visited Bermuda and are apart of a my bigger conspiracy theory. You can get lost just by passing through the area. Sometimes it takes a while but be sure you will enter the zone. Oooohhhhhhh
Me I ran up one hell if a cell phone bill and my bank made up all sorts of extra charges. I sailed on. Now I'm trying to understand my health care. They are sending me checks. Really they are sending me checks and they insist this is right.im like did you go to Bermuda last year?
Broker has a nice outboard and deisal fuel for sale. I wonder?
