Re: Bavaria Yachtbau filed for bankruptcy

A further speculative thought, maybe part of the rationalization will see Bavaria try and flog off the supposedly profitable Nautitech subsidiary. FP might be interested for the right price, the Open 46 Fly would fill a void in their product offering and give them some more production capacity.

Or public = owned by public powers (the state) so yeah same idea different definitions

Well not really, the definition for free float stock is public, does not matter how you spin it. State owned is just what it says.

Re: Bavaria Yachtbau filed for bankruptcy

I see in Sailing Today a quick mention that the whole of Bavaria yachts (mono and cats) has been sold to “a private equity firm”. Be interesting to see what news comes from this, especially since the same page reports the first sale of an Oyster since its new owners took over.
