Having done it a number of times, I wish I was, but the overhaul will not be done in time. My advice is have fun, meet and get to know everyone you can. Lots of great folks, a fun sail and good fishing.

Never miss the morning radio checking, it is one of the best comedy shows you will ever listen to.

Enjoy, I'm envious.

.....
Right, like "how do I anchor...." or "how do I fly a spinnaker...." or "...I caught a really ugly 30lb+ fish..." And the constant chatter during the 2am watches!

Seriously, I had a lot of fun and some great sailing enroute to La Paz last year. Will probably do again on our boat. Enjoy!

!0 yrs ago we were headed south to bring our boat around to Louisiana. We were off shore headed downhill at the same time as the Ha Ha folks and thier morning net was something to remember for sure !! sounded like they were having a ball !! We just kept going till we got to Z town. so we never saw them but we heard them !! Sure sounded like a trip to remember !!

We came down ahead of it but ended up cruising with a bunch of boats who did it, pretty hard not to have fun, lots of great people and families. We will probably do it on our next trip down in a year or so.

Have fun jealous!!!!

About half the first year, half of the rest the second year. Several do the rally multiple years. Some go up in the Sea of Cortez, some go down to the South Pacific.
I went south the week after the Baha-ha and four of that current group and I went thru the Panama Canal together.
Its a great way to start cruising.
