Bahamas / Caribbean Weather

I was wondering what the weather and sea state was like in the Bahamas and Caribbean Islands during this current episode of harsh weather the eastern part of the US is having.

I noticed that on the Caribwx website that the swells for the Virgin Islands were "down" to 6 feet from the NNW to N and were forecast to increase to 9 feet.

This would seem to make any normally sheldered anachorages a bit lumpy.

Are the normally Easterly trades interacting with this swell to create some interesting sailing conditions?
