Anyone have a website about their boat?

We have a website for SeaLife OurLifeAtSea.com but Nicolle is very slack, lazy and unambitious about updating it as she is too busy cruising, sunbaking, snorkelling and cuddling various critters on land and in the water.

Yeah, that's a good start. It gets them grouped, but basically I was thinking you'd have a page with links by boat make, model, year, then a page with project type (like I said before, radar installation, engine rebuild, etc.). This second page would link to the same pages as the first one, just grouped a different way.


So, a page called My Albin 29 restoration Page might show up on all three pages in multiple places - like this:

View links organized by:

Page 1: By boat make/model/year
Page 2: By project type
Page 3: By component manufacturer

When they click on one of the above, they would go to one of the following pages:

Page 1: By boat make/model/year

Dan - Yes that would be alot of work. I think I may stick to what I have going at the moment but I will keep that in the back of mind for future improvements. It really is a good idea.

This idea of everyone putting their web address is a really BAD idea, since I have found out about it I'v been on several sites and haven't had the time to go in the forum. Plus everones site is at least 10 times better and more proffesional than mine (Music, vids, links etc).

Mark - I just browsed your site and saw the November pics. Wow - what a flashback. As a kid I lived in Lovett Bay. Ku-ring-gai Chase was my stomping grounds. Explored all over those waters in our 18 foot sailboat and 10 foot dinghy. Beautiful place.

Maxing Out - I have been to your website before, I found it when I was surfing the search engines. Its pretty nice and has alot of good info. I wonder if you would consider making a seperate webpage about the project?
I am trying to make the links that I put on my website take the viewer directly to the project. I am afraid if I add that link they will go to it and not find what they are looking for easily and then that would possible make my site not look as good to them, it would sort of be like the viewer loosing trust in me. Do you see what I am saying? I am not putting down your page at all, just that I would preffer to have links that go directly to a project. I hope you understand what I mean, its fairly hard to explain.
So would you consider making a seperate webpage for it?

Just about the fun we're having not going very far -- yet

I have published a site for our boat to help build and maintain an identity for this model. We have a Ron Holland 43 sailboat, designed in the mid 80s and built to order until 1991. They were built in Taiwan at Ta Chaio.

As far as I know there were only 13 built, ours is hull #11.

We have located 6 of these fantastic boats and continue to look for the rest of the fleet.

The site will also be a place for those interested to see what's up.

i have added Google's AdSense ads to see if that might be a way for us to generate a little cash for the kitty.
