At this stage it looks like the Flying Dutchman.

Re: Anyone can name this design?

Might have been asking which model that was, that they had designed? At least that's what I was assuming.

Re: Anyone can name this design?

I don't believe it to be an Excalibur. The one in the photo looks to be a Van de Stadt but there were a lot of different boats by that designer.
Excalibur does not have a sliding companionway hatch which is a pain to get in and out of the cabin. The boat in the photo does have.
Excalibur had a narrow stern but not quite as narrow as the boat in the photo.

Was only going by the drawing on sailboatdata, so was a little iffy of a guess. It lines up pretty close, but then again, was also just going down the list on there of other Stadt listings. Still looking lol.

Closest I found was

http://www.astolat.nl/

And at first glance, I went Aha! But then... it's just.. little things here and there. Looking at the cockpit, the rounded section over the tiller and things, looks spot on. but the rest... So unless the one in question has been altered, or if there were variances in production...

maybe it's not really a Stradt? I mean, it looks it by far, but as far as everything I found, there's nothing else close under the Stradt designs that I found (granted I'm at work, so...)

Re: Anyone can name this design?

Well thank you all...
I always took it to be an. Excalibur....but

O ver the other side of the marina is what the owner says is an Excalibur but they are quite different so I shall have to photograph that one today and post them....

This one here looks fine in the beam compared to the other and the caveta line emblem of a three pointed crown could relate to King Arthur's' crown....

The other is different as well as the hatches on rear deck....

So standby folks.....more later

and thank you all
