Annapolis Boat Show Accomodations

Hi all,

Looking for last minute accomodations for the Annapolis Boat Show. Looking for Friday and Saturday night only. (October 10th and October 11th) I don't know to what extent this occurs however, are there sailors in the area willing to rent out their sailboat for accomodations for a couple of days? Anyone here?

Thanks for any response or direction.

Motel accommodations tend to sell out for a substantial radius from Annapolis. I'm not aware of people renting out their boats but I suppose anything is possible. Close accommodations need to be booked a year in advance.

Ninth Annual Good Old Boat Regatta

October 11-12, 2008 - Annapolis Md.

Sponsored by Good Old Boat and hosted by Shearwater Sailing Club, the ninth annual Good Old Boat Regatta is open only to boats of some maturity — those designs whose first hull was built before 1975. It is a celebration of the old solid boats and the laid-back, fun-loving people who sail them.

For more information on this great event, contact Alfred Poor or Charlie Husar at 410-266-6216, or go to: Good Old Boat - Ninth Annual Good Old Boat Regatta.

I found a room at the Hilton Gardens...a short drive away. There were also rooms at the Comfort Inn. Go to www.cheaptickets.com (or any other other travel sites) and do a search on annapolis. I just booked mine a few days ago.

good luck.

We have usually stayed at a hotel called O'Callaghans. It was a pleasant mile or so walk to the show.

I've got a futon downstairs. If the Admiral's game, maybe we can rent it to you. Assuming you're proven to not be psycho.

I live right near the Navy stadium, so not a far walk.

Please take a GPS with you, and report back to us on the performance.

I expect she isn't like the old boats, that had a reputaion for performance cruising..

Nordic,
Interesting idea. I will do that so long as you promise not to get into a huge knock down drag out fight about weight! No betting either!

Promise not to

Why are you asking? You want to go into the unreliable weight claim business?

Looking forward to your views on the boat. The interior looks fantastic in the pictures.
