Put a remote switch at the helm........ even with people onboard... anchoring is a 1 man job.... so is retrieval.

I've done this too, but only with a nylon rode and I initiate the turn before the rode becomes taut and stretches. I'm assuming your speaking of this procedure without a chain rode because that stop and pivot becomes too harsh with chain!
