Yes, great guy from all accounts. He owned the property and donated it in his estate to the City of Sequim. Wild Goose was a frequent visitor here, I was a huge John Wayne fan as a kid, getting to see the goose was like a dream to a boy back then.. Ya, so it's a nice little marina, mostly older sailboats, a few high end, a good amount of big power boats, and the James Town Indians have a small commercial

how some folks equate this marina with snobs and the lot. Nothing could be further from the truth. A few are retired veterans on fixed income
, like myself. Really just the same old bunch of folks that range from many walks in life you find in any marina anywhere. Ya, I dig the fact that my home port is John Wayne Marina, kind of cool, but the reason I chose this marina is the it's 3.5 miles from my daughter and grandchildren.
