Alan, she's a fractional rig and the forestay is actually quite taut. What you are talking about is likely a Code 0 on a dedicated continuous line furler.

Alan,
My Dragonfly 1000 is rigged the same way as that f boat. The jib is the middle sail in the above pix. The drifter/reacher is furled on its own wire luff and held up by a halyard. The whole thing is dropped on deck and / or stored in an ama compartment when flying a chute. Steve B. |

How do those code zero furlers work? I am considering getting one for my asymetrical kite Looks tempting. I think I would have to get a new halyard for the 2 to 1 purchase.
