After three months launch approaches.

Back in January I started the hunt for the next boat. After two months of searching I bought CELERITY and have been fitting her out.

Here is what all has been done;

Barrier coating Interlux 2000E
Repainted strips more traditional colors
Pull and new window glazing on the butterfly hatch
Put back davits
Rebuild deck ice box hatch
All new 120V ac
New Mastervolt charger
New Batter2Battery charger
New batteries (go figure)
Refinish dinette table
New cushions
Refinish deck box/helm station
New fresh water pump
New water heater
Rewire running lights
Clean a lot
New Force10 Propane stove with microwave
Rebuild the grill
New lifelines
Install cruise air
Add a third bilge pump

There are a lot of other little things to do but she's close enough and next Wednesday she moves into her new slip at Herrington Harbour.

Now the adventures begin...

Cool! and good start. Always liked the look of those boats. Is your hull teak?

Re: After three months launch approaches.

D&D - thank you. This year and most of next we are cruising the Chesapeake. Crew is mostly female, wife, daughters, girlfreinds. I do hope my son tags along too.

Cheechako - She's glass but teak decks. This one was built with solid glass decks. Verified by replacing a section of ceiling in the V berth where the mast boot leaked and rotted the panel. Interestingly the hatches are cored. Hull construction is layers of mat then a chopper gun over spray. When I drilled the AC inlet and outlet thru hulls I dug into the core pieces to look at the construction and layup.

Congratulations. And welcome to Herrington. North or South? We're at North - maybe we'll see you around. Sounds like we have similar project lists....

Excellent - we're on C dock. Heading out this weekend for a week long cruise somewhere (waiting on the winds on Sat to decide) but will look you up when we get back.
