We stopped at Port St. Joe Marina 3 times since 2012. The marina claimed to be "the friendliest marina in Florida", and I would agree. A newspaper and two fresh muffins delivered to your boat on Sunday morning. A nice touch that made you feel welcome. So sad to see the destruction there. We were there for New Year's Eve in 2012. A great fireworks display at the marina, then you could take a shuttle to Mexico Beach, which was a different time zone, for a second New Years celebration.

Re: After Michael: Marina Reports

rode out in shell point beach , not too bad, storm surge 4, break away walls a huge destruction factor, would have probably lost the boat from floating mountains of wood walls fences etc. if i didnt stay, mexico beach bad, dont know about panama beach, heard they got hit hard. The debris field is beyond ,mother, mother ocean.👍

Re: After Michael: Marina Reports

I live on ST. George Island and keep my boat at Scipio Creek Marina in Apalachicola.

Scipio Creek is fine and in business with docks and fuel.

St. Joe Marina is gone, I drove by it this past Saturday on the way back from Destin.

Mexico Beach is gone.

Last i knew, the ICW was closed through Panama City, check that out, could be reopened, I am not sure.

Interestingly, I am the guy who sold her the Schucker. I was flipping through boats at the time and had traded a Flicka 20 for it. It was a neat boat, and I'm glad someone got it who is doing so much with it !

Carrabelle:
There was a crane at the Moorings to remove several boats either sunk at the dock or left on the sea wall by surge.

Dockside boat yard seems to be up and running.

C-Quarters is up and running. I'll stop by both the Moorings and C-Quarters, Carrabelle Marina and Timber Island to check fueling capabilities and report back.

There is extensive dock damage all around Carrabelle but I believe dockage is available to transients.

Carrabelle Report

The Moorings, pictured below, has gas and diesel available. Although they have extensive dock damage, transient slips are available. You may have to pay cash as any wired internet is down in the city.

C-Quarters has ice and bait but both gas pumps are damaged and need replacement. They have extensive dock damage.

Carrabelle Marina has gas but I believe it's primarily for their own customers in the dry stack or slips.

Dockside Marine boatyard seams to be near 100% functionality.

Did not get out to Timber Island.Click image for larger version
