Advice for HI to Cape Town

Ahoy!

I'm looking for advice on a single-handed sail from Hawaii to Cape Town, South Africa.

This is a really basic breakdown of what I have so far...
Hawaii to:
Fanning Isl. (June)
American Samoa (June-July)
Fiji (August)
Brisbane (August-September)

After that I'm going to batten down in Australia and make some money while cyclone season does its thing. After that I really only have vague ideas. I wanna start getting specific places nailed down so I can find the appropriate charts, sailing guides and make connections.

When is the best time to leave Brisbane? I'd like to Island hop and I'd like to stop in Madagascar.

Have you done this trip? What route did you take? How long did it take?

Thanks a lot!
