Advice for Buying a Sailboat

I decided to change my life and to live on a boat for a while. I have a budget of $150.000 to buy a 50 feets.

What options do I have within my budget. I want a boat fast but very comfortable with a full teak deck.

I am currently in France but able to travel any where to take the boat

Thank you

Re: need an Advise to buy a sailing boat

www.yachtworld.com lets you use price as a search criteria and is the biggest such site on the net. Add in your 50 foot requirement and see what you get to choose from. Remember that when buying a used boat you will want 20-30% of the purchase price added on for refitting and outfitting to your tastes.

Thank you but this is what I am doing looking for offers but I am not sure about the best choice. Actually my choice would be the Hanse 461 but I have to negotiate the price to be in my budget.

Other option close to this one ?

maybe build one in a low cost country like Thailandia or turkey

Even with slave labor you would not be able to build a nice, fast, new 50' sailboat for $150k. Cheaper to buy used.
