A somewhat different view of the Maldives.

Found this today and do not know if it has been on here before, if so then obliterate it please, but it is not how i imagined the place to be.

european governments have been doing it for years,it is called land reclamation,or land fill.

a solution to the maldives rubbish problem would be to chip or shred the rubbish then compost it,creating a good source of topsoil for the small vegatable gardens on the atolls.

plastics could also be shredded, and old oil, used to fire steam generators to power the equipment for processing the biodegradable waste.

alumilium tins are easily melted down and cast into cooking pots.

copper and tin can be compressed and exported.

1st world technology,can and must work in small,but highly developed communities like the maldives,where they have the finances to buy the infastructure if they are to survive into the next century
