A great story and inspiration. I like the playground style deck. Just missing shuffleboard. ))

At first reading of title I thought was going to be a story about you Boatie.

Thus answering the blue water boat dilemma.

Great story. That guy is hero to us all. What an amazing life he's led.

For some, that would be a blessing, not a curse.

Re: 83yr old crosses Atlantic..

I admire his courage, and hope I still have that much life left in me at his age, BUT...

What if they had gotten halfway across in that cobbled-together contraption, hit a storm, been capsized, and then forced to call someone to come rescue them? Would we call him a hero and say it was an inspiring story? Or would we say, there's another idiot who went to sea in a completely inadequate vessel, and then expected someone else to save him from his own stupidity?

I'm just asking.

The key to any risky feat like this is to "make it."

Same with any risky adventure.

If you make it, you win.
