40 foot offshore yacht with shower cubicle

Any thoughts on a good cruising yacht that falls under the following criteria:

I am limited to 40 foot for an offshore cruiser due to my mooring
Good sailing performance (no long keels or steel yachts please)
Seperate shower cubicle in the heads.
Safe in a storm
6 berths min

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"

For a true, proven, Blue Water boat, Pacific Seacraft 40. Certainly meets the criteria.

Re: 40 foot offshore yacht with shower cubicle

soooooooooooooooooooo many boats, soooooooooooooooooooo little time to explain each of them

How can someone ask such a question without any ideas of boats that meet the "requirements"? In fact if your have enough experience sailing to even ask the question why would you?

I have no suggestions for boats for you as they don't exist in the CF world except as a toll.

Thanks for that.
Where would your cruising area be?

Don

you're right . It is a question with many answers. That's why the answers will be very short, like mine.

for a gogd answer, the OP would need to indicate price, just how off-shore is he going, how experienced is he, what type of equipment will he want on it yadayadayada.

Way to vague a question. Sometimes I wonder what inspires these questions?

If you count laying on the floor in different places as berths. The OP needed 6 of them.

Many catamarans fit the OP's description perfectly. But I have a feeling he was only considering monohulls.

Re: 40 foot offshore yacht with shower cubicle

So fair challenge but I think the key here is a
1 - offshore cruising (Atlantic circuit capable)
2 - has a separate shower in the heads that has a door between the shower and the toilet

There are not many boats, my ideal boat would be an Allures 45 but it's too long so I would reduce to an Allures 39.9 but that is a little expensive

As for for last question re me.... 30 years sailing with 15 years offshore experience.

Colemj

I am very open to cats and have sailed them a lot, (currently racing a 28 ft tri.
Not sure which ones are good at 40ft, I love outremer 42 And old 45 but a bit long, also Dazcat 1195 but maybe a bit pricey
