11 Year Old Girl Survives 4 Days Alone Off the Bahamas
On a cork float.

I happened upon this book while roaming around in the library. I know folks here many times are looking for sailing related stories so I decided to post this.....

This occurred in 1961. The book's copyright is 2010.

I'm still trying to understand how she did it.

The book is called ALONE, Orphaned on the Ocean

Coincidentally, I just read that book a couple of weeks ago and agree that it's quite a story but was also pretty disturbing. Amazing how she managed to survive her ordeal, both before and after she went in the water.
