Winds in Early March

What wind direction should I expect in the Leewards in early March? I think east, maybe northeast, but would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks.

Regards,

Matt

East, Northeast is correct for March.... You can download a pdf of the March "Pilot Chart" for the North Atlantic here:

Later is better for leaving the Carib... though there are windows when the wind shifts for a few days to ESE.. mainly April onwards.. latest I've sailed from SMX is June 14th
If headed for Bermuda it don't really matter but for the Azores a bit of S in the wind makes for a more comfortable ride over the Stream if headed straight across..
