Donnie's Marina has a mooring field in Black sound, as well. I have friends who have had their boat on a ball for 2 months now. Hope that helps.
OP's boat drafts over 6.5 feet, no way he's getting into Black Sound with that. He may be able to get into White Sound since they just dredged it, but it will still be close.

The Marina at Emerald Bay.
I believe that if you comit to stay 30 days or longer the rate is $0.75/ft/day.
Nice facility, very protected,floating docks.
Ten miles north of Georgetown.

Re: where to leave a boat in the Bahamas for couple weeks

Marsh Harbour: Well protected, plenty of room at anchor, slips usually booked, good groceries & supplies nearby, direct air connection to Atlanta on Delta

Hopetown Harbour: Well protected, can be crowded, supplies minimal - the locals shop in Marsh Harbour, short regular ferry to MH

Treasure Cay: Well protected, this is your best bet for a slip, supplies minimal, 40 min & $75 taxi to MH

Green Turtle Cay: Well protected, shallow entrance channel, supplies minimal, 1/2 day trip to MH via ferry & $75 taxi

All locations have large sailing communities. Finding someone to keep an eye on your boat should not be a problem. Compared to Nassau (very bad) and Freeport (some problems), crime in the Abacos is very low - safer in fact than many US cities.

We visiting the Abacos right now (our boat is on the hard in Traverse City - both the ground and L. Michigan are hard at the moment), enjoying some Bahamian sunshine.

Lucaya on Grand Bahama. Fly out of Freeport. Call Fabian, 1-243-439-1306. He will watch and take care of your boat and needs

Also in Freeport, we were very happy with the service and “boat watching” at Grand Bahama Yacht Club.

As protected as you can get, and a competent and attentive staff. They’ll send you pictures every day if you want!

Didn't realize he drafted so much.
