Want to Buy a Boat in Brazil and Sail to Caribbean !

plan to buy a sailboat from 36-39 foot in Brazil and sail north to the Caribbean. initially I was planing to buy in Florida and sail South, but i would prefer the other way around (because I'm Brazilian - now living in Africa). Plan to start the search now and buy by December 2007.

anyone has something to say as for the market and for the sail North? I know that a boat with a Brazilian flag would cost a lot more because of the import duties there, but since |I will leave the country, any flag would do it!

Hi! I´m from Brazil too. How is your plan to buy the boat? I´m new in sailing but I´m starting my long time plan to buy a 32-37 foot boat and cruise in 5 to 10 years from now.
