Things that go Bump in the Night

Leaving for Georgetown in a few weeks on my way back to the Caribbean and planned to stay East of Eleuthera however somewhat concerned about any debris fields from El Faro. Just saw some scary pictures of a large refrigeration unit from the ship that just washed up on a beach.
Was wondering if anyone who has just sailed thru that area had any sightings or comments.
I realize the ocean is a big place however statistically would think that particular area may be a bit problematic.
I am considering going through Current Cut and staying West of Eleuthera for that reason however prefer staying East.
Any comments would be appreciated.
