Went through there shortly after that report and asked around, no one seemed aware of this taking place.

We too have not been able to get any kind of confirmation that this took place or why it even might happen. So I would not be too concerned. There are hundreds of boats down there right now and absolutely no reports of anything out of the ordinary in Georgetown or anyplace else. Chuck

We've been taking enough booze for our 3-6 month trips to the Bahamas for years. We've never declared it on our stores and have never had a problem. We've been boarded a several times by the Royal Bahamian Defense force and it's never been a problem with them either. We always declare our fire arms and ammo. They are VERY picky about that.
