Stacia (St. Eustacia) comments please...

Hi all,

I have a friend who is considering buy buying land on Stacia.

Would appreciate and comments on the pros and cons to this plan.

Thanks, Bob...

stacia's other name...

St Eustacia, between Saba and St.Kitts.

Ideally I would like to find an ex-pat land owner who is currently living there.

very beautiful spot, looks like ireland but warm. i found the people to be extremely friendly. once, i was on a big walk ashore and a huge swell rolled in from the west with heavy deluge. my friend couldn't come fetch me with the dinghy, it was impossible to land. i ended up sleeping on the porch of a little empty house with 5 dominicans in the same predictament; they were delivering fruit to st martin on a hollowed out 24 foot sailboat! we spent the night fighting over scraps of cardboard to sleep on, drinking rum and laughing alot. the next morning i had to jump off the big pier onto the dinghy as it passed by, still couldn't land it. now whenever i go through dominica i stop to visit these guys.
statia is still real countryside and very charming.
