Talking St. Thomas visit

Wanted to say thanks for everyone who made suggestions on a Charter Boat and Captain for my wedding reception on April 5th. We decided on Capt Dave and Ohbejoyfulsailing. Made me a great deal and I'm looking forward to it.

I love this forum and I don't post very often but I would love to meet any of you for a drink while on my trip from 28 Mar-9 Apr. Let me know if I have any takers. My new bride and I would love to meet some cruisers.

We are actually planning on retiring in nine years from the Army to cruise full time. We have never been under sail but I have been a Deck Officer for a couple of years and would love to find the differences between sailing proffesionally and cruising as a way of life.

Hope to hear from you.

I very rarely turn down a free adult beverage...but the 27th-29th is the Rolex Regatta and I will be very busy racing and then re-hydrating. If you get a chance to head out to the St Thomas Yacht Club there will be quite a party going on each night. Then April 3-5 is the BVI Regatta. Maybe we can meet up anyway, send me a PM closer to your arrival date.

Capt Dave and Sophie are both a lot of fun.

Procrew------------I didn't personally get to witness his ability to consume rum last weekend, but I did crew on Cayennita and he still managed to get a second place trophy in Culebra. Tomorrow for the Rolex Regatta I will be racing with my regular team in spin racing class so he should do better. At least I am beating him in the Volvo!!!!

If you see a couple of folks at the club this weekend with a Great Dane in tow, stop by and say hi. We're staying up the hill with Dave Waller. I might be out on the committee boat sunday
